Can you actually buy egg whites without having to separate it? I wanna make healthy omelets or make sandwiches with egg whites just don't understand how it works. Thanks.

    they have cartons of egg whites. they are found right next to the regular eggs and they are pretty good in price. make sure you get the 100% egg whites, and not egg beaters. egg eaters have so many crap chemicals that your body doesn't need.
  • there are lots of egg-white only products...liquid, powder, etc. since the egg white are safe to consume raw, i put a serving of them in my protein shake and blend it..makes 'em very smooth and adds a protein kick!

    Okay, if i get 100% egg whites i don't have to seperate the yolk? Thats always too tricky in my book and get confused. I'm seeing how its done on youtube and i'm like..:huh:

    Nope. Nothing to separate. It's strictly egg whites only in the carton.

  • Also you can get ones simply egg whites like cheese and chives, southwestern, garden veggies which are pre-made egg whites which taste soo good for scrambled or omelets.

    I separate my egg whites with my hands. So much easier than trying to do it using a separator tool. I just scoop my hands underneath the eggs, then let the whites fall through. Just wash your hands before and after, and you should be fine. Best part is you don't have to worry about junk added to the liquified egg whites in the cartons.

    You do need a yoke or to. It has lethicin in it which helps premote fat loss. The yokes have got a bad rape over years like othe good healthy foods. If doing an omlete do 2 eggs and 3 whites and add veggies ect.

    PS I do 2 whole eggs and 1 white every morning ;o}
  • yep but they're like $7 where I come from (L.A.) but a quick note Ace of Cakes guy said the salmonella is on the white where it clings to the inside of the shell so double check before consuming raw.

    Probably keep some regular eggs and a carton of whites - make an omelette with whole egg AND just egg whites.

    (Note - personally, I usually just do egg whites for regular eating and use whole eggs in cooking/baking recipes).
