Insanity leaves me dizzy and nauseous?

I'm 16, 165lb and I have a body fat percentage of 25%, I want to get fit because I'm in terrible shape right now.

So yesterday was day 1, so I did the fit test. My results were pretty measly I think, I found the workout quite hard. After it though, I felt super dizzy and quite nauseous, my HRM hasn't arrived yet so I couldn't see what my heart rate was.

Does anybody else feel a little dizzy after insanity? Today was the polymetric circuit training, I didn't feel as dizzy after today though, I did find the workout very very hard though.

I got back on the Insanity a two weeks ago... I did it at the end of the year there and lost 22lbs in the process, but as soon as it finished, I kind of stopped working out altogether and went a little mad with my eating habits, hence the restart.

If it helps, my HRM has me at around 165 by the end of the warm up, averaging around 170-175 during the workouts and peaking at around 185 at times (30yrs, Male, 165lbs, BF23%). At times, I did (and do) find myself on the floor at the end of the workout, a little dizzy, a little sick... but you'll know you're own body, if you feel it crosses a line, then ease off a little... stay safe.

Question... are you eating properly before hand?

I think I'm eating properly, I do insanity around 2:00 - an hour after I eat my lunch. I'm currently eating 1900 calories on the days I do insanity, and 1800 on the rest day.

I guess if I'm panting, sweating and maybe even cursing.. I must be doing good to my body ^_^

    Could be sugar levels?

It's a super intense workout, so feeling that way is expected in the beginning. The first time I did Insanity I almost puked.
You'll get better at the workouts and won't feel that way after a few days.

Could be a bunch of things, but if your body isn't used to the exercise, it's probably you're not getting as much oxygen to the brain as normal (since it's needed elsewhere). That gets better with regular exercise/improved vascular system, but my advice would be to pick a good limit, and ease off if you hit that limit. Safety first!

Me too! My first day was yesterday and I immediately ate dinner with my family afterwards - not a good idea, but I'm trying to squeeze it in between work, kids, and life. I think I was crossed eyed and didn't make any sense when I was talking until about halfway through dinner. Whew. I trained for a mini years ago and when I felt like this I stood up straight, sticked out my chest, opened my arms and breathed deeply to get as much oxygen as possible to my brain. That will help :)

Make sure you are eating enough food and drinking enough water.

Feeling like puking from intense exercise isn't necessarily a bad thing but the dizziness and nausea could definitely mean you are dehydrated or not eating enough.

    Bad news.

I broke my foot today in an accident at school, I'm out of insanity for a while :(
