How much do you think I lost?

Probably a bit of an odd thread but here goes:
I was always in a denial about my weight until last summer, when I decided to change it. I stopped snacking completely, I cut out all chocolate/sweets/crisps (I can't moderate, so they all went) and just had my meals. I combined this with around 5 miles per day exercise, and the weight really did fly off. I've not been tempted once to go back to my old ways and I've really changed as a person from this - I'm much happier.
Anyway, I've not weighed myself since I was a kid. Like I said, I was in denial but I knew the scales would upset me. It was my measurements that prompted my weight loss action, however, and it scared me to the point where I had to take action. I've gone down from a 40 inch waist to a 30 inch one and I wear S/M shirts now from my previous XL variety. I had a look at my old 40" jeans today and was gobsmacked at how big I was. You just don't 'see' it until you've lost it. I've always had big thighs (and still do) but I couldn't believe how big they must have been in my 40 inch circumference.
So, how much weight do you think I lost from such a change? I'm a bit interested!

I think it's time to find a scale. Weight is so subjective, I just can't see anyone attempting to guess. Congratulations on your losses! With that kind of victory, maybe you don't need to know your actual weight. I couldn't do it, I'm an obsessive weigher but you've come this far.0

Well to use my own measurements and size adjustments from my total weight loss I am going to guess you probably lost 65 pounds or more. I went from a size 26 pants to a 14-16 and had list a total of 80 pounds (did not start MFP until I had already lost about 25-30 pounds). Gained a bit back but have since started to lose it again and now wear a 16-18 and working to get it back down to 14-16 even lower to a 12-14 or 10-12!0
