do fruits and veggies factor into my calorie goal? HELP

Hello!
MFP currently has my daily calorie goal set at 1200- which is NOT easy! When I calculate my calories for the day, should I include the calories of fruit or vegetables that I eat throughout the day? I have always thought of them as something I can use to replace any cravings I have for less healthy foods, but they still end up talking up about 250 of my allotted daily calories. Should I just not mark them down, or should they count too? I would appreciate any advice. Also, on another topic- any encouragement as to whether this system really does help, even if my exercise level has remained the same?

Everything counts. However, 1200 calories is likely too low.

And yes, MFP works. I lost 45 lbs with it, and now I am bulking. Your deficit is built in whether you exercise or not. However I would recommend that you do some resistance training so that you'll be happy with the way your body look when you arrive at your goal weight.0 -
weigh, log, count, measure anything …0

If it has calories you should log it.0

Today was the first day I set it that low... before it was around 1450 (which was manageable). I should probably move back to that.0

Your calorie goal is based on...well...calories! So yes! You need to log all of your food and drinks, not just certain ones.0

Yup, I would. You're young and you've only got 19 lbs to lose. Set MFP to lose 1 lb per week and eat back at least half of your exercise calories.0 -
Yes, in order to determine your recommended daily caloric intake you must log everything you eat, including fruit and vegetables It doesn't matter where the calories come from; a banana is 100 calories and so is a few pieces of chocolate. In the end, monitoring your food intake and staying active is the correct way to loose weight.0
