Please help my friend. Kettlebells or the Insanity workout?

My friend really really wants to get back into shape this summer season. He wants to go back to his high school weight of 150 pounds. He is 5'8" tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has begun eating a lot healthier and was at 200 pounds. He's not worried about the diet. He has that taken care of. He's a good friend of mine. He works full time, goes to school full time and also a good dad.
He asked me what he should do but I didn't know what to tell him. He wants that ripped look and of course to go back to 150 pounds.
Also no time and no funds for the gym. Which one should he try?

Insanity is 40-60 minutes 6 x a week, not ideal for someone with no time...
I would tell your friend to look into bodyweight resistance training, or lifting when he can get some weights.0 -
I also have no funds and no time but do insanity, it's only 40 mins and I make time, I've a 2 year old but do it when she is asleep, can see results after 3 weeks already0

Thanks for the reply. Still not sure what to tell him. He stays up while his kid is asleep.0
