Going Primal

Hello World,
So I've been reading/dabbling in the book by Mark Sisson "The Primal Blueprint", reading success stories, wondering if that could be me at some point. So with the new year coming up and a new season in my life, I figured this is a great time for me to jump in with both feet. I'm not really here to count calories (but i'm sure i'll be watching that too) as much as looking at my carb intake as well as fats. Just trying to get a handle on what it is that I put in my body on a daily basis. My goal isn't so much a number as it is to look and feel good. I miss those days. If you're wondering about this book, you can check out www.marksdailyapple.com (it's just a blog). I don't work for them, nor am I affiliated in any way. Just another person trying to learn how to better take care of himself.
So, here we go.

I've been making an attempt at primal living since Aug 1st and I love it! I am by no means perfect at it, but I try very hard to keep my protein up and carbs low, and to keep what goes in as natural and chemical free as possible. I have lost over 50 lbs since starting and I feel incredible. I also love the shape my body is taking. I have 3 children and they wrecked me, lol! Now, though, I have better muscle tone than ever b/c my muscles are well fed and I actually feel like getting in some kind of a workout each day. It's hard coming off sugar and carbs for a couple weeks or so but it gets way easier. Primal truely is how we were created to eat. Good luck with it!
  • It is hard to do, but if you can just perfect the 80/20 Primal, you will see and feel a huge difference!
