Where do I start?

Hi, my doctor actually downloaded MFP into my phone upon a visit. I've not struggled with weight very often in my life until the last 8 Months. Now I've gained about 55 pds. I've always struggled to GAIN weight which is tough to do. But looks like years of trying I've found it!! Lol I'm 52 and to top it off I'm
an Over the Road Truck Driver of 31 yrs. Again never had any problems with weight prior. I've been thru every test possible and I'm healthy as a horse.
Now ... I don't like to eat and forget to all the time and I don't have access to a lot of storage and preparation. There's no one with me in my truck and I'm gone every 7-8 days. I want to lose it not for looks but because the extra weight is killing my knees and I feel like poop!
Anyone please any help or foods that are best etc is appreciated!

IMHO, your doc did the best thing possible for you by downloading MFP! It really doesn't matter what you eat as long as you stay within your recommended calorie goals. Did your doc recommend a calorie limit? If not, plan on 1200 regardless of your exercise. Exercise is equally important, so don't forget to get moving.0
