How to balance Arnold Schwarzenegger's workout& c25k?

I am currently starting Arnold Schwarzenegger's encyclopedia of modern bodybuilding but I have two 5k events on July 5th.

Would it be best to do my couch to 5k before work and Arnold after work?

    Not familiar with the workout there, but I can tell you it's certainly possible to do a reasonable amount of running combined with strength training.

    But is it something I HAVE to keep separate? Arnold doesn't suggest cardio after the strength

    I'm not a fan of working out so I don't know why I committed myself to two 5k races the same day when I'm currently trying to focus on finally losing fat and keeping it off lol

    Which workout are you referring to?
    The Level I exercise program?
    I would just do a Push/Pull/legs program (even though I am doing 5x5 currently)

    But it all depends on what your goal is.

    If it is to get stronger/gain muscle, lift first.
    If the cardio/weight loss is more important, Run first.

    If you have 2 - 5k runs on the same day, I would say to focus on the running.

    You can lose and keep fat off by just running.

    His published programs are pretty high volume. I would do something different.

    Is it possible for you to do the weight training in the morning and then the Couch to 5K training in the afternoon?

    I am training for a duathlon in May and currently I am lifting in the am and doing my training in the afternoon.
