Will I loose weight?

I've recently gained a lot of weight. I'm 5'11 and am 158lbs,I was maintaining at 150lbs for a while and want to get to my original weight. On 1200 calories and burning on average 500 cals 5 days a week and having one cheat day,how long will it take to get to my original weight?

Never because you will never make it on 700 net calories per day.

fpr you own health and well being eat at least 1200 cal NET per day

    EDIT:
at your current weight you are in the healthy BMI range and towards the low end of it

at your target weight you would be outside the healthy BMI range, please don't set yourself and unhealthy target

Not sure i would consider 8 lb gain a lot of weight. You are probably at a healthy weight for your height, but if you want to lose you need to eat back your exercise calories and track your food consistently

So, will you eat 1200 total calories, or will you eat 1700 on the days you workout? 500 is lot of calories to burn when you aren't overweight, what exercise do you plan to do and how will measure your calories burned?

Is 150 your starting weight that you are trying to get back to?

1200 calories for a woman of your size is not appropriate AT ALL. Not to mention adding exercise in too.

Also, you're in a perfectly healthy BMI right now. Losing 27 lbs (based on your ticker) would put you underweight. Don't do it. Stay in the healthy range, please.

Will you lose weight by netting 700 calories a day? Sure.....you will lose some fat & plenty of muscle. The scale will look good because it will reflect your new weight. Is the number on the scale the main thing? Many people who aim to lose muscle end up skinny-fat.

When skinny-fat people get to goal and are unhappy with how they look....they diet more. You should be looking at body recompostition. This isn't about the number on the scale, but body fat percentage.

Anything higher than 1200, I seem to gain weight? How much do you suggest eating daily?

It doesn't make sense for a woman as young and tall as you to gain weight that easily. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it would likely mean some type of medical disorder.

How are you tracking calories eaten? Do you weigh or measure your food? Do you log everything, including drinks with calories, snacks, vegetables ... everything that you consume that has calories?

I snack regularly and track my calories through a more personified calorie tracker app.

If you are sure of you intake and that you gain when you eat 1300-1400 calories per day, and you are sure it's not temporary water weight (you have consistently gained over a period of time at this level), then I would suggest seeing a doctor.

5'11 and 158 lbs? It is legit impossible for you to gain weight on 1200 calories unless you are secretly a cat.

You're 5'11 eating 1200 cals a day?! That is absurd! Put that to 1800 cals and you'll will lose the weight you need in a quick amount of time.

I second this recommendation. See a doctor soon. You likely have a medical issue that needs attention. I'm older and shorter (5'8") and I could lose weight on 1200 calories at that weight. Good luck!!!
