Any aging triathletes out there?

Hello all...looking to add a few friends who are active outdoors and are looking forward to this year's tri season as much as I am. I finished my first tri middle of the pack last summer and want to keep going. I am slow and dumpy at the moment, but with the help of this site I think I can finally do something about that.

Well, I haven't done a tri YET by myself. I was the runner for a team in a sprint tri last September and really got inspired to do the whole thing by myself next year. Then recently I started talking myself out of it thinking I am too old. I would love a friend to help me stay motivated!0

You are never too old to have tri @ triathlon, I took to sport up in my mid 20's after watching my dad complete his first Ironman at 57... we did IM together this year, I'm now 30.
Keep up the training and enjoy the sport. the goal of tri for me is to finish, try and make it a pb for that distance, but even if I'm last across the line I've achieved my goal (and I have been last on a few occassions)
And when you get to that finish line smile, smile and smile some more0
