The forbidden rice..black rice!

Since payday is today, I wanted to splurge a little on myself and get something I haven't had in years: black rice.
If you've never heard of it before, it is an incredibly delicious and nutrient packed rice that turns a beautiful purple color while cooked. My local Asian market has 2lb bags for around $6, so I definitely can't pass this up.

I actually don't eat too much rice, but I was wondering if anyone had any recipes that pair well with wild rice (I've found that the taste of black rice is similar to wild rice). I'm not looking to make a stir fry with this, but instead incorporate it with a lean meat and some vegetables. I was considering lotus root as another side, but stumped after that!

Thanks. :D

Do it up in a dutch oven at 350 degrees for an hour or so. Add tomatoes, peppers, chicken broth, garlic, onion, and browned meat of your choice. Stir once or twice. Put it in burritos, with beans, eggs, or a vegetable side for dinner. Freeze it in little packs for lunches.

I love exotic rice, but unfortunately forbidden rice is the only one I can't stand. Himalayan reds, Jade short rice, mekong flower brown, real wild rice...all delicious. Forbidden rice is just too strongly flavored for me, and I hate the way it stains everything.
