Sorry if this is tmi, but I haven't had a proper period in over 2 months and I don't know why. I've lost only 3 pounds (went from 116 to 113 at 5'4) in the 2 month time frame, but I've been exercising a lot more intensively. I lift weights for an hour each time 3 times a week and do some light cardio on rest days. I don't' think this is enough to cause amenorrhoea. I'm 18 and a virgin, so pregnancy is out of the question. Would a 3 pound weight loss really do this? I remember having periods when I was underweight. I eat around 1500-1600 calories daily. I constantly stress about my weight and the possibility of gaining more. I've been dealing with depression and anxiety for the past year, but I haven't gone 2 months without a period in a long time. Any reasons as to why this may be happening? Thanks

I would say this is something you should ask your doctor, it could be any number of reasons.

Definitely time to talk to a doctor. Random people on this forum might give you answers, but to get the right answer that applies to you, go see the professionals.

Okay, usually when there is a sudden change of your diet this happens. It happened to me both times i was on a calorie count diet. However, i had only skipped a month and then everything was normal again. I think you should go to a doctor if your period doesn't come or if it becomes unstable
