I've made these with black beans instead of chic peas. They were OK. I like the addition of peanut butter. And I'm definitely going to try the chic peas and see if I like them better. Did you made these in an 8 x 8 or a 9 x 13 pan? Thanks for posting!

Hi there, a tin is 400g which when I converted on google came up as 14 ounces. :)

I used some butter beans in my baking before but I found it made the finished product a bit dry, the chickpeas definitely make the mix lovely and moist.

I plan on taking the bus to the gym and then going to grocery store beside it to buy some chickpeas to bake this ASAP
That's how I plan on spending my Friday night

I'm super sad. The chick pea cookie dough I made that I was going to tweak to make into these went sour after like 3 days in the fridge :( They smelt rancid. Same with the chick peas I had in the fridge in a mason jar. Who knew dry chickpeas don't last as long as canned chickpeas once they are cooked...

There in lies another question. Along with wanting to know if there is a PB2 conversion....is it better to cook dried chickpeas first or is it acceptable to use canned?
