Hey guys,

I'm having a hard time to get healthy and more vary food for a month. My allowance is like $100, and so far this is what i can list :
Egg, milk, tempeh, tofu, chicken breast, peanuts, chili, onion, cabbage, broccoli, spinach, oat, brown rice, banana, apple, grape. I'm out of ideas lol. What's your grocery list ? :D

    I try to buy as much fruits and vegetables as possible, as well as low-fat dairy products.

    I would suggest that, if you're on a budget, buy frozen meats and frozen veggies in bulk. Being frozen, they'll last a long time, and buying in bulk is cheaper. And you'll still be working toward a balanced, healthy diet :]

    Great idea on the frozen meat and veggies - also frozen fruit can be nice to have around.

    I would recommend shopping several times a month if transportation isn't a problem for you.

    Also, beans and lentils are a couple of great low cost staples. Rice too, if you aren't opposed to it.

    Check out your local circular and see what is on sale. I bought a big box of sweet potatoes last week for $1.49.
