what to do to achieve my 2 weeks goal ?(: eating/exercise

so im going to start my new gym membership hopefully the end of this upcoming week(:

right now im weighing 195.3 Lbs and im 5'2. ive already changed my eating habits and im trying to lower my portions more as well. i do admit some days i dont have tim eto eat breakfast or im not hungry in the morning and i skip it which i know is bad ! and ill end up eating a bit more during lunch or dinner.. its bad i know but im really working on it ! i think i did much better today !!
Anyways, im eating healthier, eating lean protein and veggies and a bit of rice maybe, not everyday though.

ive set a goal to try and drop 10 pounds in a week and a half to 2 weeks and lose a few inches.. is this a realistic goal ?

i guess my question is what can i do at the gym to help me achieve my goal? im thinking about going in the AM for an hour and if i can go for another hour later in the day. id like something not too hard because im just starting out and dont want to over do it. also something thats easy on the lower back ( i have a pinched nerve) and on the ankles and knees cause they shake too much when working out .

please no rude comments ! i really appreciate any adivce i get ! thank you guys

No, that is not a sensible goal. Your body can only release so much fat at a time. A healthy rate of fat loss is around 1lb per week.

If you are just starting out its possible you'll lose a few extra pounds in your first week but this will mostly be water weight.

I also wanted to add that if you don't want to eat breakfast then don't - when you eat through the day has no bearing on weight loss. As long as you stick to your calorie goal you will lose weight.

The way to achieve your goal is a sensible diet where you are a slight caloric deficit plus more time than 2 weeks.

Additionally, if you don't want to overdo it, I probably wouldn't start with an hour of exercise twice a day. That feels like a one way ticket to burn out.

10 pounds lost in 10 days would require you to have a 3500 caloric deficit PER DAY... It doesn't matter how you put it, it just won't work like that. Aim for 1-2lbs a week and give yourself half a year or so. Then you're talking:) Good luck!

    Not realistic, in my opinion.

I'm also 5'2. 10 lbs takes waaaaay longer than 2 weeks.

Choose a realistic goal with no time limits, otherwise you're setting yourself up for failure.

You might accidentally drop somewhere close to 10 lbs in a couple of weeks but that wouldn't be a real healthy fat loss. You'd probably reach it by losing lots of water or by putting your body into stress, which doesn't seem healthy at all. Also, I'm pretty sure you couldn't lose a few inches in such a short amount of time. Losing inches requires longer times than losing weight, I usually drop 1 cm each 2 kgs or more. If you want a good place to start off just start logging your calories and adopt a healthy daily exercise routine; during the first weeks I was so out of shape that I lost 2 lbs/week and I started to push myself by just walking and doing some stationery bike. You'll need time to adapt and get fitter so that you can improve your exercises. Good luck!

You might see a 5-7 pound drop primarily due to shedding excess water. I do want to warn against jumping into a 2-hour a day exercise program from a what appears to a sedentary lifestyle. Ease in or you're just likely to injure yourself - likely leading to abandonment at worst, or delay in the least, of reaching your goals. Try to find a routine you can maintain the rest of your life, not just a short-term target.

ive been told many timea that water weight doesnt exist by doctors, trainers, relatives ..or you lose the water weight yet it comes back as soon as you drink liquids so its not really any weight lost

What do you mean water weight *doesn't exist*. Water weighs something, your body carries water, the amount it carries varies over time contingent on things like sodium intake. These are facts.

This weight has nothing to do with your health or fitness level but that doesn't make it not weight.

It doesn't matter if you skip breakfast.

10 pounds in 2 weeks in not attainable.

    Water weight is real.

    Think long term.

i know water weighs but ppl say that you lose the water weight and it stays off which i dont think is the case.. sometimes i think you should count water weight because you will always carry some water weight. i dont know

So when I go up two pounds the day after I lift weights and then go back down that two pounds the next day what exactly should I refer to that as, if not gaining/losing water weight?

No that's not reasonable. You don't need to eat breakfast, you just need to eat within your calorie goal to lose weight. You don't even need to exercise, but it helps with fitness.
Water weight does indeed exist. Never heard it doesn't and I'm a RN.

Also, why would you go from no exercise to 2 hrs a day? That seems like too much too soon. Focus on your diet first then ease into exercise. 30 min to start a few days a week is a good start. I'd personally start with walking outside (more enjoyable than a gym), for 30 min then increase your time and mileage. Once you can walk a good 3 miles, start a couch to 5k running plan. Add do evwrights when you are feeling comfortable adding more

NOPE...not at all a pound or two a week unless you become anorexic and eat a cracker every day.

    THIS

    AND
You should think that losing weight it is a life style change not a diet.
Being on diets gets boring and repetitive very fast and they fail when you decide to eat like you used to do it before. Calorie deficit and portion control are the key to losing weight.
Be kind and have patience with yourself..Remember, you didn't gained weight overnight , you won't lose it overnight either.
