I had a taka way from a Chinese chipy last night what I had was kung poo chicken and it was full of sugar, processed junk, I can't believe I used to like this sort of food if you can call it that and it's expensive. People are eating this junk all the time and I was too I think because I've been eating good wholesome foods and not just counting my calories as well I now know this crap for what it is.

Anyone else found this experience?

Yea I've been yo-yo dieting for a while so I'm far from super healthy, but recently I bought some frozen breaded chicken things that I used to absolutely love as a teenager and I almost threw up because they just tasted like eating a plate of salt.

It's pretty amazing how quickly your palate changes when you stop eating crap for a few weeks. Quite a lot of my favourite fast foods just don't appeal to me anymore, unless I'm drunk...

I judge my food on their nutrient density vs caloric content, and most importantly taste. Chinese food is on my list of delicious.

I think ya just need to find a better Chinese restaurant! I have two favorite local shops close by, and their food is always delicious - the veggies are always fresh and perfectly cooked in each dish, the sauces are flavorful and unique and homemade - and no MSG.

Reminds me - I have leftovers in my fridge for lunch!

I only like Chinese from Panda Express. It's fresh and light and they have all the calorie info I need.

As another example I used to get the regular Chik Fil-A chicken sandwich but after I've been eating less fat it feels too greasy. I like the grilled chicken sandwich instead which is saying something because I"m not a fan of grilling in general.
