Stepping out of the shadows....

and into the light. I've been lurking around here for a little while and realized I can't, no matter how badly I want to, do this on my own. I need accountability, some one to give me the swift kick in the butt I need to keep my head on my shoulders! I'm female, 28 years old, 5'5", and currently, at the heaviest I've ever been at 172.5 :noway: with a goal weight of 130. I work as a housekeeper at a hotel, so I'm always moving, always on the run, then I come home and crash. I live with my boyfriend and what little time we have together between our opposing work schedules is currently being spent working on getting my old International back on the road, or eating. Whether it's summer cookouts with friends, meals at home, or snacking while watching a movie, there is always food involved. His eating makes me want to eat. Sometimes I have the willpower to tell myself no, sometimes not so much. I've tried gum and/or drinking water when he's grazing with varying results.
I really don't enjoy exercise....wow it feels good to admit that! I have a couple Jillian Michaels DVDs, Ripped in 30 and 30 Day Shred. After doing Ripped, I don't think I can go back to Shred. I actually kind of like Ripped, but at the moment, I don't want it bad enough to dig it out and do it. I respond well to Jillian's tough love, 'hurts so good' approach. I want friends that will "yell" at me to get off my butt or look at my food diary and ask 'why the bad day?', someone to call me out when I'm making excuses.
I'm pretty shy and quiet at first, but love to laugh and have fun with my friends. Not sure if this should be here or under 'Motivation and Support', but, thanks for reading!

We are very similar! Stats, goals, situations, etc.
However, our work life is very different. I have a sedentary desk job. Yay cubefarm! :P

I used the term "cubefarm" to describe the desk job situation. We all sit in cubes all day, kinda like cattle sit in stalls lol.
Desk jobs can be rough on the body as I have come to find out and I'm not just talking about weight.
I am a tax accountant and I just went through another busy season. This year, I developed knee pain and back pain from being so inactive. Now that I am getting active again, things seem to be improving.0
