    Don't do it.

You don't need cardio. If people enjoy it then go right ahead, but if you don't, don't. Stick with strength training :)

Maybe do more circuit training and strength training if it better suits you, but yes I know all about the boredom. Lol. Try listening to music, that helps me.

I switch week by week the type of cardio I do. One week I run up and down the big hill by my house. The next week I do Zumba workouts from YouTube.

I know exactly what you mean. I used to do an hour of cardio alone every day and I really had to force myself to go and do it. I've never enjoyed doing it by myself so I joined a martial arts class. I love the team aspect of it and now spend two hours twice a week jumping up and down, running about and hitting things (very theraputic if nothing else!) plus I train/practice by myself for an hour or two at the weekend.

Martial arts might not be for you but I would recommend any sort of class or team enviroment, or maybe even a gym buddy who you can take to while you work out.

    Good luck with it

do less caridio and do more lifting.

Honestly, I do one HIIT sprinting session a week and that is the extend of my cardio. Maybe you could do an upper/lower split where you lift four days a week? You could do upper on Monday and Thursday, and lower on Tuesday and Friday and maybe do one cardio session on Wens or something…

I would recommend focusing on lifting heavy with compound movements….

I do an hour of cardio every day as well, and yes, it can be so boring at times. So I have been switching it up. Some days, I do 10 minutes on 6 different machines, that way I am changing my cardio fast and I go to the max for the entire time because it is only ten minutes on each machine. Other days, I do ten minutes on a cardio machine and then take a break and do squats, then ten more min of cardio, then dead lifts, then ten min of cardio followed by another round of squats, and etc.

Sometimes I just get bored doing 60 min of cardio on one machine, but it doesn't mean you have to do an entire hour of cardio. Switch your routine up.

Ps: i also think I get a lot more out of my workout by doing the ten min rotation thing, instead of a regular 60 min session.

try it and see if it works for you!

I usually run on my cardio days, 2 miles to 3 miles, and that gets boring. I try to get through it as fast as possible (6.5-7mph), but I just hate running, even though I feel it's one of, if not the best way to burn many calories (other than crazy sports like BJJ or something, which are definitely harder from my limited experience).

I will change the pace, instead of setting the tread to 6.7mph for 20-25 min or whatever, I'll run at 6.5 1 min, 7.5 1 min, change the pace every minute. It really does help me get through the 20-30 minutes I spend jogging/sprinting.

Get outside and ride a bike or go for a hike with a weighted pack. The change of scenery may freshen things up.
