^ I recall you listed Jeni's Cinderella Pumpkin flavor the other day.

I must know more! I saw it on the shelf, but the Roxbury Road called to me with its chocolatey decadence--it whispered caramel promises in my ear and...well... I'm only a woman, after all.

Its very creamy, and I find it to be light & refreshing much the way that Jeni's the bananas + honey is, but when i'm in the mood for something like that i would prefer the bananas & honey. I do enjoy it & i'm glad i got to try it, but i wouldn't go out of my way to find it.

When it comes to straight up pumpkin ice cream i am partial to Trader Joe's Pumpkin Ice Cream. It has more pumpkin flavor than Jeni's and is spiced just the perfect amount. I wish i could get my hands on some right now but It is only out for a limited time each fall......

What do you guys want to do?

"Eat all the sweets cleanse" ? - This way it's open to fitting in Ice Cream, Cake, Cookies, Cup Cakes, Donuts, Cake, Chocolates, Candies etc?

I need to stock up. The only sweet I have is 1 tub of strawberry shortcake ice cream. zzzzz

    I'm already in...

Although, perhaps I should do a small 2-3 day pizza cleanse between this "All the sweets" cleanse and the ice cream cleanse.

After cranking out the 10 page term paper, a final exam that was 7 pages long and a two page essay my brain shut down. i'm trying to get the last essay done, then i will just have another final next week and i'll be done!

in the midst of all this writing i just couldn't seem to forget about Steve's Southern Banana Pudding. It has been on my mind ever since MrM27's review. So although i have WAY TOO MUCH ice cream left in my freezer i just ordered from Steve's online to celebrate almost being done haha

got 2 Mint Cacao Chip, 2 Southern Banana Pudding and a Sunday Morning coming my way.

( they had a new one on the site, carrot habanero pepper. I decided to pass on that though...also decided to skip the coffee & donuts. i think i saw someone mention a stale donut flavor. blech. besides, i can get that one at Wholefoods if i really want to try it....ok, back to my school work.....)

Good Luck on your essay! My first final is tonight....bleh....and I have local double dark chocolate gelato waiting for me at home....
Other finals are May 5 and 12 with a "however long it takes you to explain yourself" paper thrown in there....

Yes! That way I can clean out my freezer, then potentially move to donuts.

We'll just have to ban those:

    Arctic Zero
    Cauliflower anything

i like the idea of that! I have mountains of ice cream to plow through but i enjoy variety. Having more options would be nice, so as far as i am concerned all donuts, cupcakes, muffins, cookies and pastries are all welcome to the party :D

All of the ringing endorsements for Jeni's bananas + honey makes me wish I could find their (her?) banana french toast flavor, too, but I've yet to see either one of those anywhere except the website. I don't have a Trader Joe's nearby, but the best pumpkiny-flavored ice cream I've encountered so far is Ben & Jerry's Pumpkin Cheesecake. I don't want to brag, but it's pretty divine. Right up there with their Cinnamon Bun flavor, in my opinion.

I'm sensing that someone wants cake?

You should come to my house, half my suitcase coming back from Easter was chocolate. That's not an exaggeration either!

    I like that idea! :drinker:

I'm in. Wanted to be in on the ice cream cleanse, but honestly, my candy drawer (and backup candy cupboard) wouldn't allow it.

I second the B&J's pumpkin cheesecake! *swoon* I'm tempted to make French toast and top it with the bananas + honey. Maybe I'll do that for breakfast this Saturday. Hmmmm.

1/2 Cup of ice cream is less calories than 1/4 cup of syrup!

I got some B&J Mississippi Mud Pie for tomorrow so I'm excited for that, especially since it looks like the same chocolate they use in Phish Food.

And I'm also making an "italian love cake"-- which I'm convinced Mr. Acrylics picked out because of the name. It's a layer of devil's food, a layer of ricotta, and a layer of chocolate cool whip frosting.

I do love B&J pumpkin cheesecake. but for a pumpkin flavor without the advantage of having cheesecake in it, Trader Joe's is fantastic. they are both great, just different :)

(as for your bananas + honey topped french toast idea, i am too lazy/busy to make french toast but if i wasn't i would totally do that!)

Found Jeni's on sale for $7.99  Sadly, only a few varieties. Brambleberry Crisp, Brown Butter Almond Brittle, and Whiskey & Pecans. I went with the Brambleberry.

I'll have to keep an eye out for the TJ's. I looked at their ice cream the last time I was there, but I didn't see anything that called out to me. I was thinking about how I'm going to make the French toast. Right now I only have Martin's slider-sized potato rolls, so I think I'll slice the top and bottom off a couple and do it that way. Saturdays are easy for me, as long as I don't sleep half the day away!
