Correlation of Weight to Health

It's already a common understanding (generally speaking) that lowering excessive body fat lowers the risk of many health issues, but I recently got back my health screening results which drove this point home.
My employer sponsors yearly health screenings (blood tests), and here are a few selected results that spanned the last three years. I'll start off with BMI, which is only on here to show my change in weight:
---BMI (I'm a medium build, so I'm generally on the high end of BMI)
2012: 29.1
2013: 28.4
2014: 25.7
---Triglycerides (want this to be <150 mg/dL)
2012: 155
2013: 124
2014: 112
---LDL Cholesterol (the bad one, want this to be <130 mg/dL)
2012: 163
2013: 150
2014: 116
There you go! It's nice to have actual data (beyond a scale or general 'feeling' of health) to show successful results! Being fit is win-win, and does more than just make us look good!!

Congrats on your results. It def pays to improve your health! Below are my results
---BMI
2012: 40.12
2013: 42.06
2014: 35.1
---Triglycerides
2012: 98
2013: 134
2014: 100
---LDL Cholesterol
2012: 116
2013: 126
2014: 99
Besides the high BMI, everything over the past two years has been great. I guess having a lower BMI doesn't mean you will have good Trigylc and LDL levels. I guess it all depends on the person.0
