Know nothing about eating healthy, but I need new friends!

Hi, I just opened up this account two days ago...im 19, 5'8 and weighing 210. This is the heaviest ive ever been, and since moving in with my boyfriend into our new place and always working two jobs, im worn out and all i wanna do is sleep!! Lately ive been feeling discouraged about my weight and found new strech marks :(( My goal weight is 180 (for now) I need new buddies and support systems too since i know NOTHING about eating healthy. But for the last two days i have been watching how much i eat, and writing it all down here. Very eye opening.. and plan on jogging every morning. Also cut SODA out of at the beginning of this week, used one tbs of sugar in my coffee this morning INSTEAD OF 3-4! starter TIPS OR ADVICE? besides my goal weight, i really want to fit back into my size 16 levi's jeans that i got in DECEMBER. Feel free to add me :) before and after pictures really inspire me

    Hi! Welcome to MFP and congrats on deciding to make a change. My advice is baby steps. Your goal is lifestyle change, not dieting, so if you make too drastic of a change, you will never stick with it. Congrats on cutting out the soda and cutting down the sugar! That is a great first step. A goal to track every day and exercise at least most days of the week (even if it is walking) is a great goal. I would also had making sure you get a serving a veggies with every meal. Feel free to add me. I am active daily for over 2 months now and down 12 lbs :-)

    yes! Thank you so much!!!! :) its already a struggle, IM SO HUNGRY!! but ive never even been interested in losing weight, and my boyfriend loving me and my body just he way it was kind of got me stuckk in my eating patterns but we've ben together for half a year and literally in 6 months, or 9 since ive known him, i have gained and gained weight!! i just want to get rid of it and even though im doing it for myself i wanna feel like i look good for him too !
