Becoming the BEST ME I CAN BE :-)

When I started this journey I was not able to complete an 8 hour day desk job without lying down on the floor during lunch break. Feeling so bad day in and day out can cause you to question many things about your current state of life. I knew I had some decisions to make, to continue as is or make some serious changes. I decided to take my well being into my own hands and changed primary care physicians. Previous one had me come every 4 months and would say "everything is great see you in 4 months" in spite of the fact I told him I was totally exhausted and lying on the floor at work. The new one did blood work and found severe/critical Vitamin D and B12 deficiencies. My response to her was why do I have malabsorption? I was eating a very clean diet even then. "I can't answer that", was her reply. She referred me to an endocrinologist in January 2013. Who did thorough blood review and found that I had Hashimoto Thyroid issue along with a total of 5 blood issues. Once my body started to respond to thyroid and deficiency treatment, I was able to complete a day’s work and in July 2013, I decided to join a boot camp. It was 3 days a week and then in October of 2013 I felt strong enough to walk/jog the high school track on off days, soon I was able to do the stadium stairs as well. In December 2013 I started weight lifting. Currently I work 2 jobs and exercise after 13 hours of working. If you would have told me I would be doing this a year ago...I would have laughed. Thanks to a great friend I now have a very regimented lifting schedule and will never quit on this journey to becoming the BEST ME I CAN BE! No one knows your body like you do, listen to it and demand the most out of it, it is very rewarding!
