Central Ma

Hello,

Looking for some central mass people to perhaps chat with\motivate in the journy to becoming healthy! A little about myself; I'm a 31 y.o female professional and ex-athlete. All growing up and throughout college I participated in 3 sports a year and loved working out. I think I exhausted my energy in my 20's with excessive working out ( 2 hour practices twice a day then other stuff just for fun). Since finishing graduate school and getting a 40 hour a week job I've become far too lazy and that laziness has fueled more laziness and getting back on track after a ridiculous weight gain of near 100lbs is more difficult that I had imagined. I've attempted on and off for the past 2 years. Losing 20, gaining it back, gaining more back and then losing half. I'm good with keepign a food journal until dinner time and then all is lost!

So if anyone wishes to chat about how they keep their journal into the evening and weekends or getting in that workout despite being exhausted ( and I will admit I feel way better once I make myself do it, hardest part is getting out the damn door), let me know :-)

Elizabeth

Welcome! I currently live in Worcester. I'm currently struggling with losing weight and getting in some type of exercise regimen. I work full-time and am also in school pursuing my graduate degree. I'm still working on getting in exercise, but I have been pretty successful with journaling even if it means I go over a bit. Feel free to add me if you would like.

You can click on a username or profile pic, which will bring you to the person's profile. There's an "add as friend" button to click on to request to be someone's friend.

    Hi Elizabeth.

I just sent you a friend request. Grew up in Holden. Currently live in Fitchburg and work in Worcester.

For me, exercise has to happen first thing in the morning while I have energy and before, life's obligations have an opportunity to mess up my plans.

If you don't have the MFP smart phone app. Do get it. It make it easier to keep track of your eating throughout the day no matter where you are or what you are doing.

I too have lost and regained weight. Now I am trying to loose it again. Keep fighting the good fight. You can do this.

I live in Leominster with my wife and beagle, would be cool to have people who know the area on my friends list. Food talk, hike trails, that sort of thing.

I hike out that way (Leominster) sometiems with my fiance and dog (cockapoo). :-)

To Hikerguy: I rowed crew for about 9 years and practiced at 4am, year round. I need to work out in the morning as well. Unfortunately, I'm no longer a morning person, tho I am trying to become one again! I need one of those alarm clocks that rolls away so you have to get up to shut it off.
