Ezekial Bread

Does anybody know the benefits of ezekial bread vs. any other type of healthy bread?? I usually eat the Double Fiber wheat bread but have heard that the ezekial is so much more healthy...Just wanted to hear some opinions...thanks!

I don't know much about it either...i've just seen stuff here and there about it...I was hoping others had tried it and knew the health benefits...hopefully someone will!!:happy:0

I can tell you that when I switched to E-bread, I really didn't like it. BUT, after eating it for a few weeks, I noticed a difference in how I felt eating it. It's so much better for you. As far as health benefits, there is less sugar, salt and refined ingredients (which we all need to stay away from). This bread is made with sprouted grains and no yeast. It's all good for getting rid of the 'bloatiness' bread can do... It's made out of organic and whole plant or grains. Again, there is only + things about this bread... Overall, there isn't "health" benefits, but it is a wiser choice.0

In my oPinion there is a huge difference between the two breads. Ezekial is made from sprouted grains, look them up on the Internet, but essentially they are sprouted and very under processed as foods go. The healthy parts of the grain that are generally taken off in processing remain and so it is much more nutritionally dense.
My daughter eats sprouted wheat bread where she can't eat most wheat products because of the way it is processed. I buy sprouted wheat and slept flour and bake with it as well.
It does take some getting used to. Trader joes has a good selection of sprouted grain bread that is more cost effective than Ezekiel if you decide you like it.0 -

"Sprouted grains of any kind are beneficial to the diet since the sprouting process releases more nutrients. Traditionally, all grains and seeds were sprouted, which yielded as much as 10 to 20 times more nutrients than are found in processed seeds. A further benefit of consuming sprouted grains, seeds, nuts, and their products, is that they foster the growth of good bacteria in your gut, which in turn helps to keep your colon clean. It doesn't hurt that sprouted grains also contain plentiful concentrations of antioxidants, potent anti-cancer agents.
In general, sprouts and sprouted-grain products are more readily digested than your typical store-bought loaf of whole-grain bread. In addition, their nutritional profile is high in fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals. It is the cooked form of wheat that causes mucus congestion, allergic reactions, constipation, and bowel irritability. When wheat is sprouted the starch is converted to simple sugars and this has no negative effects on the digestive tract."
