Not losing weight?

I'm following a 1200 calorie diet, but I am NOT losing anymore. It's like I am at a pleteau. Yes, sometimes I admit that I only get in 600-800 calories in. NO I AM NOT ANOREXIC. However, could eating too few calories cause me to not be losing anymore? Or should I up the exercise. I do about 6 miles jogging per day and after I'm done im exhausted!!

Note: the reason sometimes my calories are down is because I get to school at 9:00am and don't get home until 9:00pm. I commute and yes I bring food but there's no microwave and eh... cold food.....

How long has it been since you've last seen a drop on the scale?

It sounds like you already know that you should be eating more. Do you have any plans to address this? Carrying more snacks with you to school? Eating a bigger breakfast or more calories once you get home?

There are people on this site who know a lot more than I do and I expect them shortly.... but until then...

You are running 6 miles daily and at your weight I'm guessing you burn about 600 calories doing that and you are only taking in max 1200 calories a day and sometimes only between 600-800?? You are exhausted because you haven't given your body enough fuel to do it. I'm suprised you can even get through your run. You need to eat more calories. You need to at LEAST NET to 1200 calories a day. So if you are burning 600 a day you have to eat at LEAST 1800. You are closer to your goal weight it will take longer to burn off a pound of fat. Please do it is the smart way and eat way more food

Curious. It's obvious she needs to eat more, especially with the amount of running. Either OP's calorie intake/burn is wayyy off, or she should be losing weight???

How long have you been at this routine?

It could be very inaccurate logging. Or a cheat day here and there might be wiping out her deficit. Or it could just be a normal water weight stall if it's only been a few weeks. Or some combination of those. There's no way to know unless the OP decides to come back and answer questions.

You need to eat more. Your should be eating a minimum of 1200 calories per day, not 600. Your body is in starvation mode.
