Exercising after a fall

Hey guys, on 12/26/13 I fell down the stairs. Since then I've had a lot of pain in my left ankle and shoulder. Walking hurts so I've only been doing it when necessary and very slowly. Is there any cardio exercise that I can do with this kind of pain that won't make it worse? When I was doing my regular exercises, I was losing weight.

Do you have a YMCA membership, or a membership to an equivelant gym? If so you can try Water Aerobics.0

Can you swim with your shoulder?
You could also try biking - stationary or spin bike. Try with no or very little resistance. If you can do with without pain, add in a little more resistance. If you can handle the resistance, try a spin class.
I had ankle surgery in February, so I totally understand. I've been swimming and lifting, and gradually adding back in the spinning and biking. If you have access to a gym you could also try a rowing machine.
I'm assuming you have already had your ankle and shoulder checked by a doctor? If not, you really should go get it checked out.0 -
You could get a brace for your ankle and spin!0

Thank you all for your suggestions , I really appreciate. I do have a YMCA membership, I can't do swimming yet, I can't barely hold a plate with that arm. It feels way too heavy, but I can do the bike. I already brought a brace. Biking is one of my favorite exercises.
Again, thank you all0
