I've never had to count calories before (been lucky) until now, that I'm over 40, my metabolism has slowed down a lot and I find that even though I eat less, I keep gaining weight.

I'm so glad to have found this website that makes it so easy that I don't have to work too hard to count the calories. I just have to focus on eating better and exercising.

My goal is to lose 7 pounds and get in great shape, back in the shape I was in ten years ago on my wedding day. Doesn't sound hard, but it is because I've developed some bad habits over the years - like drinking red wine and eating anything I want.

This being a new year, I'm developing good eating habits and cutting out the excess sugar, wine and fatty foods.

    Maria - I've found that my metabolism has also slowed down in recent years. One thing that definitely helped was stopping drinking my favourite glass of wine each evening as extra calories that I didn't need plus I'd heard that alcohol also slowed the metabolism too....
