Hello all! I'm a senior in college and it's finals week. I am trying so hard to stay away from the junk food and energy drinks but it's hard. I'm writing papers.. ( a 25 pager and two 5 pagers YIKES!) and I did a bad thing.....I drank a monster energy drink to stay awake I have two more weeks of these late night study sessions... Does ANYBODY have a suggestion on healthier ways to keep myself energized and awake to do these projects?
THANKS!
THANKS!

have you tried the Monster Rehabs? much better than the originals from a sugar standpoint and I personally love the taste. have you tried just snacking on fresh fruit? I find that fruit gives me the added energy boosts without the sugar crashes.0

If you don't already, you might consider taking a multivitamin to balance out a few weeks of rocky nutrition. Healthy proteins would probably be a good choice to keep you going strong, something like a handful of almonds. Light and fresh snacks, like baby carrots or fresh fruit set well. If you're in a dorm or have a safe place to go late at night instead of a snack maybe a short brisk walk to invigorate. Or, perhaps put on a favorite up tempo song and dance...or take a refreshing shower. Stay hydrated, maybe treat yourself to an iced tea or limeade. A Mint lifesaver or mint gum also perks me up. Sometimes it's more valuable and productive for your best performance to close the books and get some sleep. Best of luck with your studies!0

In college I used to pop ephedrine like candy. That was back when they didn't have these "energy" drinks. That isn't healthy at all by the way just thought I'd share. I definately wouldn't recommend also drinking coffee on ephedrine unless you want to have the experience of while studying in a quiet room wonder what that incessant knocking noise is only to realize its your heart. Ah all nighters, good times.0

Nothing wrong with a bit of caffeine, in moderation of course. Try getting it from black unsweetened coffee or even caffeine pills so you don't have to ingest a whole of sugar and other crap with it.
Keep up with a normal healthy balanced diet (veggies, lean protein, healthy fats)0 -
Thanks for the tips!0
