Food an Acne?

Options
I noticed over time my acne has subsided due to eating better and exercising. I suppose it could be the latter. Has anyone else noticed a difference in their skin? Negative or positive.

Dairy plays absolute havoc with my skin, so I completely cut it out several years ago. I don't miss it at all.

There definitely *can* be a link between diet and acne for some people, despite what doctors might tell you.

Good for you! Its always a great feeling having clear skin.
Mine is also hormonal, but the right foods have helped tremendously.
I mean, how could it not effect your skin? Food effects everything you are.
Like the saying goes you are what you eat!

My skin is better just because I'm hydrating properly (I suspect). I not only drink a ton of water every day, I moisturize pretty religiously so my skin can keep up with my weight loss. Also, food intolerances and allergies can definitely affect your complexion.

Thats a good point! I never thought about the hydration aspect before!

My sister (before having her daughter) just get skin flare ups/adult acne from wheat. Sadly mine is not linked to diet so I am on antibiotics although I have found drinking more water now helps stop it being so dry (but that's really obvious).

Best thing to do is use your diary and maybe even take pics daily and see if you can spot a correlation.

    Absolutely.

One particularly hectic summer when I was working for a major festival, I lived on energy drinks, tequila and pastries for 3 weeks. My skin hated me. I hated me. Bad times. (great summer though)
