Black Olives?

Hi! I have just started trying to lose weight (again).
I have been pretty good this week, but I've been reading some conflicting stuff about black olives. I have read that they contain a lot of fat, supposedly it's the "good" kind. However, is this fat going to hurt me, even though I am staying within my daily caloric allotment?
I don't want my snack to derail my efforts! Lol

If you're within your calories, that's all that matters. I love black olives, I eat them at least once a week as a snack
They're super low-calorie and taaaasty

I count the calories as I gobble them up. Lots of flavor for a small item. (I'm into bitter flavors)0

Fat doesn't make you fat. Eating at a surplus makes you fat. So as long as you keep at a calorie deficit from what you would need to maintain...then no, eating olives isn't going to derail you losing weight.0 -
Black olives are yummy and healthy. Fat isn't bad...especially in olives.
BTW, you are 5'7 and want to weigh 118 lbs. ???? Good lord......0 -
They are delicious! I have weighed less and that is where I was the happiest.0

They're essentially the same in calories, but the green ones (as well as Kalamata, etc.) are usually brinier, so the sodium is undoubtedly higher.0 -

I love olives both black and green. I have a few nearly everyday. They are a great snack for me.0

Olives have mono unsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) which is the good kind of fat that will help lose belly fat.0
