Well, my first those is holy cow!!! Who knew I would make it this far and lose 61 pounds, I know i have lost this weight some what fast, however starting out at 308.4 I knew I was going to lose some of it fast in the beginning for that is what happened to me last time and then it slowed down which I am ok with. I am working really hard and I set goals for myself everday and I do my best to play ahead as much as I can for days out or days away. I have not cut anything out of my life for this is a life change not a diet, I eat what the rest of my family does for dinner for I am the one that perpares it 99% of the time, sometimes I will cook mine in a seperate dish becuase everything i use on my food is weighed and measured out. I have been exercising a lot more than I have in the past and I have even taken my kids with me. I am able to breath a lot better and most importantly I am able to play with the kids and not feel like I am going to die. I have come a long way since Jan. and I am looking forward to this journary for the rest of my life.
With this being a life change and not a diet I am still able to go out to eat again I just have to reduce what I would normally eat. When I first started this site I went and looked up what I used to eat for breakfast at McDonalds and boy oh boy was I surpised that what I ate just for breakfast alone was 1000 calories or more not even looking into what the fat was or the soduim and then I would go out and get lunch as well, and then still have a bif dinner, no wonder why I was gaining weight and not losing. After carrying my daughter in a backpack to go on a walk with me that def makes me realize how much weight I have lost and that I don't want to gain any weight back. I understand that I will have weeks where I will not lose anything or only lose an ounce but I am preparded for that and I will not give up. I will just need to work harder and if I do gain then that is on me and again I will just need to work harder. There was already one week that I did gain because I didn't track and I was in the mood of I didn't care. I can no longer have the moods of I don't care and I need to track to keep myself accountable in this journey.
Losing weight is all on me, HOWEVER a big part of where I am today is becuase of my support system that I have. I have made lots of friends on here that I am able to vent to and talk to anytime, this place is great as long as you find the right support group. My soon to be hubby is great and I am able to talk to him and he is able to get my though the tough days. I also have a great friend Rebecca who I am able to text all the time as well who helps me just like I help her. It is great having the support of others def keeps me going. I have just like others wanted to give up and quit, but ion the end all it does is hurt me and I def don't want to start over. I am able to fit into close that I haven't been able to for a few years.
When I went shopping over my vacation I was able to get shirts at American Eagle size XL. I have never been able to shop there in my life. HOwever, I do need to get used to wearing clothes that fit me and not ones that hide who I am. The one thing I need to work on is not wearing a sweat shirt to work, but right now I am still self consious that I wear one. However, today I am not but I am wearing one but I have sweater on so I guess it still counts. I need to work on tightening up my lose skin but one thing at a time.
Well, I guess that is it for now, I am more than welcome to help all those that want to be friends or need support and advice. Anyone can feel friend to message me or send me a friend request, together we can all do this.
