New to MFP, still figuring this all out. 38, married, mom of 3, work fulltime, graduate student, too busy to eat right and a lot of weight has crept on over the years. Developing health problems that come from carrying too much weight and I know better. I will give this a try, just can't spend oodles of time on here. Work night shift on weekends right now, and a couple of dayshifts during the week which bites a huge hole in family life... however, this is one thing I need to do for me. I started with walking... would like ideas for those with physical limitations, due to health conditions and/or physical disabilities... let me know what you guys do!

Hi! We have similar issues, maybe. LOL I'm 44, wife and mother of 2 teens. I have arthritis in my knees and neck, and deal with myofascial pain around my hips. Ugh. The important thing is to keep moving. I just started on here a few days ago and have really enjoyed keeping track and the encouragement from other friends. If you're not on the computer to track, just write your calories on a post it note, as well as exercise, and post it later. You'll stay vested in your cause and mindful of your eating. Good luck!
