I am wondering the same thing.....after 3 kids I am very very hopeless! But I have been trying really hard and can feel them in there but just can see them the way I would like to.0
-
I know what you mean! I feel like ive been working so hard so where are they?! lol0

P!nk has a V after a baby, but...she's always been a truck. What a woman.0

BAM. Gave birth 1/12/12.0 -
2 babies, no abs but it's not a mystery as to why: I'm not dedicated enough. Getting your abs to show has a lot more to do with eating than exercise. Even a small layer of fat will cover them up like they don't exist.
Edit: after a quick google search it looks for most women you won't see your 6 pack until you're between 16-20% body fat. My goal is 19% so hopefully mine will be at that higher end. (I'm currently at 25%, down from 29%)
Good luck!0 -
How do you how much body fat you have?0
-
Mine are on FB - have to figure out getting them here, maybe when I get home.
I've NEVER had Abs my whole life (Ok, they are hidden behind fat) But I'm getting darn close!
the best I've had - at 48. And two babies in my 40's with two c-sections0 -
Abs I have with extra skin that will only go from surgery. Le sigh.0

I have abs. I was obese when I got pregnant both times. I have some extra skin, but it isn't that bad.

wow!! Amazing! I have a little etra skin as well ... thats the part i hate the most.0 -
This is me at my leanest ~20% BF about a year ago......I'm a bit fluffier now ~28% BF, but still have the outline. A recent side pic is in my profile pic section. I'm working on recomping down to about 25% BF as I think that is a better point for me.
ETA: I have a 5 year old and then kept on a lot of the weight for over 3 years.

I've had 4 c sections, thinking a tight tummy is impossible.0

I have had 1 child delivered via c-section. I always remember people saying you could never have a nice stomach if you've had a c-section (or any abdominal surgery). It isn't perfect but better than I figured I would have. You can do it!0
-
Yeah, from what my wife was saying, having a C-section makes a difference because your muscles were pulled away from the front to get to the baby.. Not saying it isn't possible.. just more difficult?0
-
Thank you everyone! My profile pic is of my trying on a bikini the other day and just feeling like it will never look good.... Now i have hope if i keep working i will get there!0

You should focus more on Your kids, not how You look. Besides I am guessing You are married - so You already have someone who likes You and thinks You look fine. Creepy photo btw
are you lost?0 -

What's wrong with wanting to look a certain way? Yes, most of us focus on our kids and our spouse. There's nothing wrong or selfish with taking care of yourself. Can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself. I'm not married and I don't care whether guys think I look fine because I do it for me, not someone else.0 -

This isn't just "how we look". This is how we perceive ourselves, our self esteem. Loving ourselves. I do focus on my kids and my kids need a mom who loves herself, who radiates self confidence. So that to, can rub off on my kids as well. And just because my husband loves me, doesn't fix MY body issues. I'm the one who looks at myself everyday in the mirror, no one else.0 -

Wow that was mean.... I do focus on them. My husband works out as well and whats wrong with wanting to look the best you can?0 -

I'm not sure how you talk to your cat friends, Catfriend, but you might want to work on your ~humanfriend~ skills.
EDIT: I had a baby 11 months ago, and while I'm not working the most rock hard body around (my belly skin is still pretty flappy and crazy, honestly), I'm 5'3, 116lbs, and in pretty dang good shape. You'll definitely get there, OP, just keep working at it! ALSO!! Make sure that you don't start going hardcore with your abdominals if you've gotten diastasis recti from your pregnancy!! Take care of that first, and things should come together nicely0 -

you should probably focus on having some tact.
ETA: here's another brilliant comment from our "Catfriend" in a thread about eating out at restaurants: "Hm well You already have a boyfriend so why do You need to lose weight/care how You look?"
yikes. sorry you got hurt. there are other guys out there.0 -
Abs? what are those?
It's possible! I myself am not there yet... I mean my kids are ONLY 7 and 5
One day!0 -
