Hi. Finding it hard to lose.

A 53 yo female
SW 209 lb
CW 198lb
GW 160 lb
I have been cutting out and cutting down. Started to do more exercise like walking and squats and crunches. Not losing it as much as I hoped.
Any help or advice would be good.

Cheers.

    How much are you eating?
And are you using weights? Body weight exercises? Just cardio?

Turns out Tom Petty was wrong!

How long did it take you to go form 209 to 189? Are you meeting your minimum caloric/macronutrient requirements?

How much are you losing now? Also, don't focus on weight too much. For a while I ended up not losing much weight but ended up dropping in dress size.

I don't think the scale is very nice in the beginning. It can't tell muscle gain from fat loss. I see the same number every day! I can tell I am slimming down by my jeans though! there are lots of reasons we don't lose weight, could be hormones, if you are under a lot of stress it is also hard to lose. You have to drink enough water and I found taking a good colon cleanse helps also. The pipes have to be clean in order for your body to run efficiently. Also depends if you eat a lot of salty foods becaus that can cause bloating and water retention. Also, if you have food allergies..gluten, milk, corn etc. and don't realize it, your body won't burn efficiently because it is suffering under a burden of toxins. The way to tell if you have a gluten allergy is if you eat a food and it makes you tired or you get lots of mucous afterwards.
