From obese to overweight! Still long way to go, but progress

I'm always reading this board when I'm struggling to keep my goal. And it is not easy - but watching people here with their success stories keeps me dreaming that one day I will be one of them.
Now I'm posting my progress in hope that it will help someone keep his motivation. I already have progress that keeps me happy, I'm not obese anymore. And that feels awesome! I feel so much better everyday. And I hope I will reach my weight goal this year already! No more time to waste!

Great progress! I also just hit the obese -> overweight milestone and it feels great! I have checked my BMI on several different sites for the jollies!! Going to send a FR your way as we are in similar situations, hoping to be friends!

I've just worked out my BMI and was astounded to find I'm also in the overweight bracket and not the obese one any more. Feel so good now. Another 28lb to go and I'll be ecstatic :-)

I never thought that this obese -> overweight state is so important. But you can really feel the difference in the way you feel!!

Imagine my shock when I went to my health fair at work and they measured me and told me I was
shorter than I thought which put me in the obese category ! It was bad enough being overweight
but seeing obese gave me just the kick in the butt to do something about it. I am now down 8 pounds
and "only overweight" ha ha. I know it's a mental thing, but come on !
I know I feel better and it's better for my health so I'm gonna keep on keeping on and get to the
healthy category. Best of luck to all of you !

I have 33 lbs to lose before I will be "merely overweight." It's still a long way, but you better believe it's the most important milestone in this journey (aside from "goal weight" -- which is just the upper edge of the healthy BMI). I don't even think I will care much when I hit "onderland" -- my entire focus is on not being obese anymore.

Awesome job! Congratulations. You are looking great. I know how important it is to cross over that line. Obese to overweight is one of my major milestones, but I'm still almost 20 pounds away from that goal.
