Newb at the gym

ok any good ideas for a 30-60 minute gym routine? Ive never had equipment to use so im kinda intimidated by all the equipment. I did 15 on the eliptical the other day then did 5 on treadmill and then (had a massage) i did a ab class and whewweee my abs still ache! then i had another massage and went home. The gym is planet fitness if that helps anyone. Also remember im a newb so make sure its all beginner level!! websites with advice or iphone apps are also welcome! Thanks Ill check out the responses tonight when i get off work! Id prefer to have a few routines so i can change it up every time (5-6 times a week preferably)

    I will add im not just a beginner but im WAY out of shape. I struggle doing push ups and sit ups

    5X5 workouts like Rippetoe or Stronglifts.
    Stick to the compound movements and progressive overload ;-)
