Extensor Tendonitis

I was wondering if anyone else suffers from this. I'm a runner and never experienced this before until now. It doesn't hurt or bother me when I run, I really only notice it at night when I’m barefoot. When I place my hand on the top part of my foot it feels like I have rubber band tendons when I move my big toe. Any thoughts? It seems that from what I've read online a doctor can't really do anything and I'd rather not go if I can take care of it on my own.

    Try taping it up, putting ice on it for thirty minutes any time you don't have to use it, taking advil or IBprofen (however you spell it). There's a youtube video explaining how to use KT tape, but, I prefer Rockaid better for the foot.
