Has anyone used the PEAR apps and heart rate monitor?

Does anyone have any experience with this app and the training programs that go along with it? If so, did you find it helpful? I'm thinking about purchasing it for use with one of the marathon training programs to help me along to my second marathon (Chicago). The PEAR app and training programs seem appealing because they provide coaching tips and feedback as well. There is also an app that can be used during the Chicago marathon itself.

If i don't get the PEAR setup, I'm looking at the Garmin 220 because I can manually input in the training program that I want to use.

I know that the Garmin would be awesome for training. I'm wondering if the PEAR apps are good for the coaching and feedback aspect - if these aren't that helpful, it's Garmin.
