Calorie Goal

Does anyone else find that MFP gives very low calorie goals? I checked about 6 other sites with calculators and they all show I should be eating 150-200 calories more then what MFP gives to lose 1 lb per week. I do remember when I had my first weight lost success early last year, I felt like I was starving with 1400 cal goal MFP gave me and is giving me now. Just thought I'd get others input on this.

Mine is 1200 without factoring in the exercise I'm supposed to be doing.0

Once you get adjusted to 1200 calories, it seems like a lot. You can eat a lot, if you are eating good! If you exercise, you can add more too. Find out what works for you---and if it is adding a couple hundred more and still lose weight---then go for it! myfitnesspal just gives you a suggestion!0

I agree with you 100%. i went to another site to compare. The other site was allowing me to hav e 2000 calories per day without any exercise in order to lose 1 lb a week. This sight only allowes me 1350 calories per day without any exercise. I'm not sure which one is correct. That is a huge difference.0

It seems a little low but for myself I have also found that the food data base is not always accurate. So I keep mine as it is as a buffer to the potential miscount in calories from their database.0
