brown bag lunch ideas?

i am starting back to work, and since i'll be doing construction work, i wont have access to a fridge or microwave, and my stuff will need to not be refrigerated. i do have a cooler bag and ice packs, but i need some ideas.

i dont *care* for sandwiches, but i can eat them.

i already bought water bottles to bring, one has gel to freeze.

planning on eating breakfast at home, so just lunch and a snack or two. i bought applesauce, protein meal bars, and diced pears and diced peaches, and i have a bunch of cracker type snacks, and of course fresh fruit. it's really just the main meal. i can make hard boiled eggs too.

My usual "lunch" at work is a Quest bar, sometimes with something from my latest Graze box. Since my break is short, lunch is really just a snack and I make up the rest of the calories later.

Here are some other things I might use if I ran out of Quest bars:
Chobani Champions yogurt tubes-- keep in the freezer until you pack it in your lunch in the morning
Single-serving hummus packets with pretzels or celery sticks or baby carrots
Salad in an air-tight container with dressing separate until you are ready to eat it

If you're keeping things cool, how about Canned Tuna Ceviche? I made this yesterday and had it on a bed of baby spinach. So tasty! http://www.skinnytaste.com/2014/04/canned-tuna-ceviche.html#more

You can eat those hard boiled eggs as-is, or make deviled eggs with them. But for a healthier option use avocado mayo maybe? http://www.glutenfreegigi.com/gluten-free-avocado-mayo/

Bento box ideas might be right up your alley, they're not meant to be refrigerated at all! (Bonus points for cuteness!) http://justbento.com/recipes

    Hope these helped. :D

Salads? Topped with pre-cooked or leftover chicken, shrimp, steak, etc?

Hummus with veggies (add pita chips if you want carbs too), cheese stick and fruit

I like yoplait's 100 greek yogurt, it's like eating custard. Try the key lime, it has the least number of carbs. I also like to take cucumber sticks and dip it in the key lime yogurt for a sweet dip, sounds wierd but it's actually good.

Maybe you could take soup, if you don't mind it cold or have a good thermos to keep it warm. My DD16 takes sweet potato soup for lunch cold anytime I make it.
