maintain a weight before logging it in? what I mean is how long do you wait to make sure that you have actually lost the weight before recording it? I do not want to jump the gun and record a weight only to gain it back again. I just wanted to see what others did. Thanks:flowerforyou:

I record my weight every 10 days. This allows me for the slight fluctuation from day to day.

    It's probably by personal preference.
But you can start to figure out a pattern.
If you fluctuate in weight a lot, maybe weight until you are consistently below your current weight before recording it.
I tend to have a pretty steady weight usually, so whenever I see a loss I immediately record it!
Even if I do fluctuate back up, I don't move it, I just wait until the scale goes below my last recorded weight.

I guess you could say I record my lowest possible weight.

Also, I only check my weight once every 1-1.5 weeks. This usually leads me to believe that I am actually down that much weight.

I weigh in once a week and record it.....the fact of life is that it WILL go up and down....you will lose and gain...part could be water part could be cheetos, but our bodies fluctuate. Pick a day, weigh that day and update your info...
  • I just do mine every Wednesday. I don't want to even look until then. Plus you have to take into account what is going on with your body at that time.

Thanks for all of you replies. Once a week is what I was thinking too. I have kept my weight at 125 for a week so I guess I will log it as a loss. Another question then...How often do you weigh yourself? I personally weigh in every morning. I feel like it keeps me on track and motivates me.

I track mine every day and noticed that I usually go up a pound or two mid-week but then am back down to what I started at plus some, so I figured that Sundays are usually the best time for me to weigh-in.

Right now I am weighing myself once a week but I think I will start weighing myself twice or once a month starting in Sep. Weight fluctuates every day depending on water retention, etc. It will drive me crazy to weigh in every day. :flowerforyou:

I record every Wednesday, but I weigh myself every morning also because it does keep me on track and motivated also.

I weigh myself once a week, usually on Friday morning, But if I have a weekend where I didn't eat a well as I would have liked, I'll check again on Monday, just to get an idea of the impact the weekend had. But I try not to sweat it. Friday is the day. If my regular eating and exercise hasn't made up for the weekend, then I just have to do better the next weekend. So far, I haven't had a weekend that actually made my net weight go up.

Monday is my official weight in day and whatever it says on Monday is what counts. I do weight myself almost daily but I am totally OK with the daily fluctuations I see; some people get too happy or sad and cant deal with that. Also, I don't do anything special (like under eat or exercise extra the day(s) before) so Monday is "extra" low - it is what it is.
  • I weigh my self every day a few times a day to see the pattern of loss an gain i go throughout the day i usually log it in once i see it 2 days in a row because so far i havnt gained any weight all i see is weight loss my weight only fluctuates during the day so waht i see in the morning is usually what i think is the right weight lol besides at night a couple of hours after dinner when i weigh myself again i am back to what i weighed in the morning

I go for my weigh in at my dr's office every two weeks and that is what I record as my weigh in. I do it on Thursdays every two weeks. I do weigh every day but I don't record it. I have however recorded my weight that i weighed last week on here. I was 212 at my last dr weigh in and now i have one tomorrow I hope it is what I have put on here being 207. That is my goal and that is what my scale at home says
  • I weigh myself every sunday morning before eating anything, and record it right away.
  • i weigh myself too often but i record it once a week, on saturday morning before i have breakfast
