Hi MFP,

I'm on my 2nd day on the Ketogenic diet and it's not easy choosing my meals.
I don't have much time to cook and would rather make quick meals.

Any ideas for meals?

If you dont like cooking much go to the store and buy hot dogs, and sausages. Most are precooked and not high in carbs. Also frozen chicken wings are pretty good.

    buy steak
    put in slow cooker overnight
    And fibrous veggies

    Simple and delicious

I also do a lot of bacon/egg/veggie scrambles. Mass volume, minimal cals.

I've always found it difficult hitting my macros (especially my fat).

But I found a program that works for me:

No breakfast (I tend to crash mid-morning/afternoon)
Lunch: Keto Choco Dream Shake (see below)
Dinner: Wendy's ¾ lbs Triple Burger (no bun) or something comparable.

    Keto Choco Dream Shake
    Ingredients
    1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 cup Unsweetened Almond Juice (I refuse to call it milk due to there not existing an almond boobie)
1 tbs Unsweetened 100% Cacao Powder (or substitute protein powder)
    1 packet Truvia

    Directions
    1) Combine all ingredients into a blender, food-processor or blender-cup
    2) Mix until desired viscosity
    3) ???
    4) Profit

    Nutritional Facts
    Calories 840 cal
    Fat 84 g
    Carbs 7 g
    Fiber 3 g
    Sugars 0 g
    Protein 1 g

I've been doing keto for about 8 months now. Breakfast is usually a few scrambled eggs with a tablespoon of butter, a tablespoon of veggie oil, and 1/2 cup coconut milk, with some pieces of bacon. I'm usually not hungry again until dinner time and then it's either grilled chicken with cheese and a high-fat dressing or steak. If I do get hungry at any other point it's a few tablespoons of peanut butter, some pepperoni, or cheese. I sometimes switch it up but that's pretty much the general plan. I hit my macros just fine.

    Don't neglect vegetables.

Micro nutrient needs are still important.
