Coffee

Hi everyone. I’m 41 years old and have 34 lbs. to loose. At the moment, my biggest craving is for my coffee. Coffee the way I like it is 242 calories. I like it with caramel and half n’ half and creamer. I only have one cup a day, but today I can not get it out of my mind. I haven’t had any coffee today. I’m pretty sure I won’t get headaches from withdrawal. I just want some coffee!

Have you considered finding a lower calorie, alternative to the caramel and using less half and half? Or switching to skim milk? Or just drinking half of what you normally drink? I drink coffee most days and 8oz with 2oz whole milk and 2 tsp sugar runs me only 70 cals.
I bet you can find a caramel flavored, lower calorie creamer to replace the flavor and the half and half at the same time.0 -
You can get the caramel sugar free syrup flavorings. I personally don't like them and just use sugar free caramel coffee creamer with stevia....makes my coffee cup about 60 calories each...I usually have 2 a morning.0

Why do you think I drink 2 in the mornings? Especially before a long run, lol.0 -
You don't like coffee. You like caramel, cream, and sugar.0

Use to drink mine double double, and tried to switch to milk instead to save calories, but I decided that I would rather go to tea then milk in coffee! So now I drink herbal tea, went throgh horrible withdrawal but I don't miss it! And I'd rather eat those calories anyways! Would you be able to switch to an alternative hot beverage?0

can you just reduce the portion size rather than cut it out right away? Least you';ll be getting a partial hit rather than craving it0

I was addicted to Orange Capacino Instant International coffee, been drinking it all my adult life. But has ungodly amounts of sugar and carbs, so I weened myself off. Used to have two cups with double helpings each. Got rid of the extra helpings first, then went to one a day. Then went to black with milk and one t spoon of it in. Then stopped completely. In all took about 3 months.
Now I drink 4 cups of black, with a smidge of low fat milk...and a small amount of protein mix in it. Adds a bit of sweetness to it, but a fair amount of protein in it...li16 grams. BTW, I drink 2 cups before weight training and 2 before my evenings cardio session.
Sleep like a baby.
You may want to try it in baby steps. Black coffee itself is very low in calories and everything I've read good for you in moderation.0
