World record for most attempts to lose weight...

Hi everyone. Again.

This is my 3rd attempt at starting MFP, maybe 3rd time lucky. To make a long story short, I think this time I need to get really involved in this site, and stay accountable to someone, and have people kick my virtual *kitten* for falling off the wagon.

I've been fat and skinny my whole life - was a pleasant size 12 (happy with that) after my 1st son, then had 2 boys 20 months apart, and now I'm a size 18 (UK). I've done Weight Watchers, Slimming World, and all sorts of other diets. I'm about to hit 35 and really don't want to just accept that my body's changed after kids and all that. I know I can lose weight, but I swear, by 11am of my first day dieting, I've raided the sweetie tin, haha!

Anyone else in the same boat, I'd love to stay in touch.

Will send you a friend request - been through a similar experience - no kids but have tried every diet going!
The good news is though that this works - I am just over 50 days in and lost 12 pounds already - slowly but surely - trying to make it a life change rather than just some "diet" that makes me feel as if I am depriving myself of all the good things out there.
So yes - I still have cake - just not the whole thing! :flowerforyou:

    Hi there

Im fairly new as well - having only started "properly" dieting and exercising a week ago - but like you if there's a diet out there, Ive done it!!!

Ive just turned 34 and have really had enough now of cheating myself out of all the lovely clothes, and not feeling self conscious in front of others so ive decided enough is enough and I deserve better!!! Dont get me wrong I am very happy with my life and my husband (and dog and cat lol) - but I could be happier and I know exactly what will achieve that so Im on a mission!! So far so good, I lost 7lbs last week but I know that is A) because I have around 60lbs in total to lose so a bigger weight loss is always expected in the first week and B) I think my body was so shocked, it decided to play ball!

Think if the short term and long term goals you have a keep them in the front of your mind, thinking if you stray then it will only ever stay there...............in your mind and not a reality.

Together Im sure we can spur each other on to achieve our goals!!!

    Good luck!
