Newcomer- looking for some support

HI
Signed up some time ago, but never really got started.

This time I am determined I am going to shift my weight and get myself as close as possible to my target weight, which means that I have about 70lb to lose.

I have a very sedentary lifestyle which isn't great, so I know I need to change this soon, but would like to lose some weight first so I feel a bit more comfortable with the exercise.

I am 42 and think if I don't do it now I never will, so am looking for like minded people for some help and support. And hopefully lots of advice.

Hello, good for you for getting started! Even though you have a sedentary lifestyle, don't let that stop you from you attaining your goal. Even a slow walk around a block is a start :) I am 45 and am only on day 9 here at MFP, but this isn't my first time at the rodeo(about 9yrs ago I lost about 100lbs). Best of luck you on this weight loss journey.

    Thanks for the support.

Wow- over 100lb that is amazing, it proves to me it CAN be done. I am hoping for a steady 2lb a week loss, which gives me a great boost for my Sept holiday and then if I keep going when I come back, I should be about there by the end of the year. THAT would be a fantastic start to 2015.

I hope we can both encourage each other along the way, good luck!
