Good afternoon my amazing friends! I have decided that the best way to do Team Ed right now (since we can't do email or a message board) is a daily thread. Everyday, kuntrygurl (my beautiful gf Lou) or myself will start a new thread. This thread will be to encourage, offer advice, accountability, etc. Of course me and Lou are avaible by PM if you want to. I would like to be able to help as many people 1 on 1 as possible.
Let me start by saying that each of you are already amazing and beautiful just the way you are right this very moment. But there is nothing wrong with wanting to get healthier. It is a special gift we give not only to ourselves, but our families when we build a healthier body and lifestyle. But whether you are at your goal or far from it, please look in that mirror and know that you are precious and beautiful. I love you, your friends love you, and your family loves you for exactly who you are.
Second, let me just reiterate that this is a marathon and not a sprint. Getting in shape takes time. But we all have it with in us to do it! I see a bunch of warriors on (and joining) Team Ed. We may stumble, there may be bad days, but WE WILL OVERCOME!!!!
Today is the first day for us all. Doesn't matter where you have been or what you think you can not do. Cause you can and WILL do it. Now i want to hear everyones goals for today. I hit mine. I got in a couple hours of work out at the gym, and drank over 12 glasses of water. Remember there is no goal to big or to small.
I love you all,
Ed

ps: I will try and be on here several times a day but may fail at that sometimes. I am a single father, work fulltime, and I coach my sons sports and help with his cub scout pack. But I promise that when I am not here that Lou will be, and if not her one of the wonderful ppl on Team Ed. But I commint myself to at least checking in with Team Ed once a day! We are so gonna rock 2011!

It's 5 mins after midnight here, so it's really a new day to me. LOL

My main goal today is doing my Zumba DVD. I haven't worked out in like two weeks and I feel terrible about it. I lost all the weight I gained over X-mas plus one pound more. But I can already feel I'm getting out of shape again. And I honestly hate it. I have to do something about it and I have to do it now. So today I'm going to stop being a couch potatoe again and shake that booty.

PS: I love your encouraging posts, they always cheer me up, Ed. Thanks for that. :flowerforyou:

My goal each day is to stay under 1500 calories. I'm really not into all of the exercise stuff yet. I've lost a 108 lbs since the first of July. I look forward to finishing the rest of my weight loss with y'all. I think Team Ed will be the support I need to get-r-done in 2011. :)

I met my goal for today. I'm still going strong with my 30 day challenge on EA sports active and I bought Wii Just Dance 2. Although I bought it for fun and planned to "try" it out for a few minutes, I ended up playing for an hour and burning just over 400 calories. Overall, I burnt over 700 calories today and I'm stoked. Feel great!

    Cheers Team Ed.

PB for me this morning doing a 36 minute open run 5K.
  • My goals for today are far from done. I still want to make sure I eat a healthy supper and stay under my allotted calories. I also want to make sure I get, at least, a 45 minute run in tonight. Also, I am usually an up-all-night kind of person, and I feel it wearing on me. I still have a cold and an ear infection, so tonight I plan on being in bed no later than 10:30. If you see me on the site after 10:30, tell me to go to sleep...

    3. Go grocery shoping and only get healthly foods and as much organtic as possible done
    4. Finely decide what my new year goals should look like. Had an ideal before now it is a bit more clear. So not done but not wanting to rush this either so maybe latter this week. I will post them when I have a clear plan to post not my part way done ones.

Ok you might think I know nothing but what is PM? Is that the MFP mail? because that is one way to use email on a one on one seting. And I know i could use some one on to get started I feel that i have lost alot of movtion and need to get back on the right track.

I am so proud of the "no pepsi" challenge you are on. And I have so been there with that bloated feeling. Some extra water ill really help!

    Evening all ...
Im not a very good teamate this week, under wicked stress, but I will try to check in at night.
I am in school for my doctorate and one week every couple of months we have to come to campus and stay at this hotel and be educated for aweek... and I always like to describe it as "we are owned by the university for the week" We have class all day, sometimes lectures at night, we eat what they tell us to and when ...

Last night was bad bar food... I had a burger for the first time in months because it was the healthiest choice I could make.
But I cant do anything about the food.... just try to make the best choices I can ...

My goal for the day was to get in a long walk after class ...
and I did it 75 minutes of rapidly walking the hills in downtown Pittsburgh!
It is driving me crazy not to have a scale here though ... LOL!
