confused body fat and weight gain

Hi new here umm i was wondering if anyone can help me out i weighed myself to see how i was going on and i seemed to have gained weight but LOST body fat how?
Im taking it that loosing body fat is good yay but umm how is it i have put on weight and lost am i doing something wrong?

Any help would be great!

    One can exercise and gain/maintain weight, due to water/glycogen storing in the muscle and liver. Even with this happening, fat can still be lost.
