sharing saved meals between spouses

My husband and myself both use myfitnesspal. My life would be much easier if I could share my saved meals with him as I have been doing this much longer than he has and have a much bigger list of meals. As spouses we obviously eat the same meals when we eat at home. Any ideas on how to do this?

One of us inputs the recipe, and the other one uses one 'serving' to quick-add calories. It stinks if you're tracking macros (which I don't anyway), but that's how we seem to have to go about it, otherwise we'd both be inputting the same recipe and taking twice as long.

That's what we do too...I wish there was a better way! Or a way to quick add both calories and macros at least! If anyone knows of a better way please let me know.

We don't usually do the quick add calories thing unless we are in a serious rush. One of us inputs the recipe and then leaves our laptop open to that "page" so the other person can quickly & easily enter it, too.

suggest it on the feedback forum as I would prefer to share recipes with friends too...not clutter the database.

My hubby usually logs the meal as I'm cooking, then I view his diary and use the Quick Tools at the bottom of the meal to Copy to today. It puts it into my diary.

We've found that she can use the quick tool to copy a meal. It's the best way we've found.

This is exactly what we do as well, it's super efficient.

We're always stealing things from each other.

You can save the meal and it will ask you if you want to make it public. From there you can change the name to the unique meal and mayber your name and your spouse can just look for at meal in the database.

I just log the main meals for both my spouse and I, then we each add our snacks or whatever independently. it's definitely time consuming. i wish mfp would allow users to copy things from other diaries or to share recipes amongst friends, especially since their new "Fast" recipe tool is more or less useless.

    Edit:

^ this is what me and my partner do too its much easier than trying to log it all twice

this would work well. Good idea!

Not for us though as we both prefer closed diaries
