What scale do you use? Do drugstore scales work?

So I'm pretty low on money these days and coping with a digital scale from CVS. Sometimes I question its accuracy but I have no other scale to compare it to so I'm stuck hoping its somewhat close.

What scale do you use? Which one works for you the best? any recommendations?

Cheap ones work fine in my experience, just use it at the same time of day on a flat hard surface and all that. I wouldn't count on a cheap one that claims to measure bodyfat and water weight to be accurate, however. It will be accurate with weight, but the other two things, not so much. And personally I like the digital better than the dial so I know exactly what I weigh, even if it costs a couple bucks more.

I use an Ozeri scale that was on sale for like $30. It matches what my dr's office says, and what my old scale says. Soo.. I trust it!

In most cases, scale consistency matters more than scale accuracy. Jump on the CVS scale five times in five minutes, you want all your weights to be within a pound! Add 2lbs of water. What happens?

Any cheap scale meeting the above that supports your weight is fine! For the most consistent values, aim for consistent sodium and hydration levels, and weigh at the same time daily. I've used Tanita and Aria scales, which are a bit more pricey, but provide additional measures and convenience (auto-logging).

We have a weight watchers scale my mom got cheap when she worked at lowe's. It's surprisingly accurate. There's a slight difference between home and when i get weighed at a dr office but at home i'm in pj bottoms and bare feet.

I have a 20 dollar Taylor digital scale from target. I have to get on it a few times to make sure it's right. I can get on, then get a different reading the second time by a couple pounds. It will keep giving me the same reading after a few times and I go with that.

I'm a Fitbit guy, so I use the Fitbit scale to track weight and BMI/%Fat. It's nice since it's wireless it uploads right to the Fitbit app, so no having to record and enter the data somewhere. Kind of expensive at $100 (CAD), but seems to be pretty accurate for weight and no worse when compared to the drugstore one it replaced.

Found a Doctors Scale (Slide Weights) at a garage sale. Cleaned it up.. fixed it up and calibrated it.
It is accurate with the Gym and the Doctor's Office.
