I go through phases but at the moment my must haves for snacking are mini single sized serving pots of houmous & ryvita thins & mini cornettos! love them!.

More generally, at the top of my weekly shopping list I always have lots of mixed leafy salad leaves, little gem lettuces, sweet potatoes, parsnips, carrots, cabbage, sweetcorn, plenty of lean protein (whatever is on offer), spring onions, mini peppers, lots of whatever fruit is in season/on offer & always the basics, milk, bread, eggs.

Things we always have on stock in bulk:

    milk
    cheese
    cheese
    cheese
low fat sour cream (no fat free stuff!)
    cream cheese
    chicken breasts
    ground beef
potatoes - Idaho, new potatoes and sweet potatoes
    canned and frozen veggies
    salad - prefer baby spinach
fresh white & yellow onions, garlic, tomatoes, carrots, celery + whatever's in season
    cilantro
Olive Garden salad dressing + several other kinds
    taco shells
    tortillas
    salsa
    spaghetti sauce
    canned tomato products
    canned beans and dry beans
    pastas
    white basmati rice
    (homemade) frozen meatballs
    berries (frozen and fresh)
fruit - whatever's in season + apples and bananas
    eggs
    cheese
    and more cheese

I've found that we use the same basic ingredients for lots of wildly different meals. I use Allrecipes.com for a lot of recipes, but also just Google. We also have a huge supply of spices - I'd say probably 30 or more various spices and homemade spice mixes. I work near a store that sells bulk spices and we just fill our spice jars as we need them.
